Target Information

Chicken Kaiso is a transcriptional regulator with bimodal DNA-binding specificity, capable of binding to both methylated CGCG and non-methylated CTGCNA motifs. This protein, containing an N-terminal POZ/BTB domain and three C-terminal zinc finger motifs, plays a role in the methyl-dependent repression of gene transcription by recruiting corepressors such as N-CoR and SMRT.
