Porcine actin related protein 2/3 complex subunit 2 (pARPC2) is a component of the actin related protein 2/3 complex (Arp2/3 complex), a highly conserved actin nucleation promoting factor that plays a vital role in the regulation of actin cytoskeleton dynamics in pigs. The Arp2/3 complex, which includes pARPC2, is involved in various cellular processes such as cell motility, phagocytosis, and the formation of cellular extensions like filopodia and lamellipodia. pARPC2, as part of the Arp2/3 complex, functions to nucleate new actin filaments, leading to the formation of branched actin networks that are essential for cell movement and the maintenance of cell shape.
