Target Information
B cells are an essential component of the adaptive immune system and provide antibody-mediated protection against infections in Swine. After stimulation of surface immunoglobulin receptors and, in some cases, co-stimulatory T helper cell-derived signals, B cells respond with proliferation and affinity maturation of the antigen receptor, and finally differentiate into circulating memory B cells or antibody-producing plasma cells.
