Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin generated by various fungal species such as Aspergillus ochraceus, A. carbonarius, A. niger, and Penicillium verrucosum. It is known to cause kidney toxicity and renal tumors in numerous animal species. The presence of Ochratoxin in contaminated feed predominantly affects the poultry industry economically.
