Target Information

Vomitoxin, or deoxynivalenol (DON), is a type B trichothecene and epoxy-sesquiterpenoid. This mycotoxin commonly occurs in grains like wheat, barley, oats, rye, and corn, and to a lesser extent in rice, sorghum, and triticale. DON is a widespread environmental contaminant known for causing food refusal and growth inhibition in animals.
