Target Information

Oncostatin M (OSM) is member of the Interleukin-6 family cytokines mainly secreted by T lymphocytes, neutrophils, and macrophage. It is a pleiotropic cytokine and has high homology with LIF in both structure and function. Oncostatin M (OSM) can stimulate resorption and inhibit synthesis of proteoglycan in swine articular cartilage explants. OSM plays an important role in regulating inflammation, autoimmunity, and cancers.
