Specifications
Target Information
TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) also known as Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 12 (TNFSF12). The protein encoded by TWEAK is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. The full-length cDNA of swine TWEAK is 1327bp, including an open reading frame (ORF) of 747bp. TWEAK can induce apoptosis via multiple pathways of cell death in a cell type-specific manner. TWEAK is also found to promote proliferation and migration of endothelial cells; and thus acts as a regulator of angiogenesis.
