Target Information

The main cause of coccidiosis in piglets is usually Isospora suis. This parasite infects piglets and can be present in up to 90% of herds, affecting between 25% and more than 50% of litters. Piglets in all types of production systems, from indoor intensive to outdoor extensive, can experience Isospora suis infection.
