Target Information

Chicken CD4 is a co-receptor protein expressed predominantly on the surface of T-helper cells within the avian immune system. It is crucial for the activation and function of these cells, which play a central role in the adaptive immune response. cCD4 facilitates the interaction between the T cell receptor (TCR) and the major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC II) molecules on antigen-presenting cells (APCs). This interaction is essential for the activation of T-helper cells, leading to the initiation of downstream signaling pathways that result in T cell proliferation, differentiation, and production of cytokines
