Target Information
Babesia bovis is a single-celled Apicomplexan parasite primarily affecting cattle but occasionally infecting humans. It causes a hemolytic anemia known as babesiosis, also referred to as Texas cattle fever, redwater, or piroplasmosis. The parasite is transmitted transovarially from female ticks to their eggs and can persist in tick populations for up to four years without the need to infect a vertebrate host.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
