Brucella ovis Probe-based qPCR Kit

Brucella ovis is a Gram-negative coccobacillus belonging to the Brucellaceae family. This bacterium, together with Brucella melitensis, causes ovine brucellosis, a disease that must be reported to authorities. Infected sheep may exhibit either clinical or subclinical symptoms. In rams, it leads to genital lesions and decreased fertility, while in ewes, it results in placentitis and abortions. Additionally, it causes higher perinatal mortality rates in lambs.
