Stephanoascus ciferrii, also known as Candida ciferrii or Trichomonascus ciferrii, is a heterothallic ascomycetous yeast-like fungus and serves as the teleomorph of Candida ciferrii. It has been reported to cause various human infections, including endophthalmitis, intraorbital abscess, systemic mycosis, and otitis media.
