Paragonimus is a genus of trematodes, commonly known as flukes, and is the sole genus in the family Paragonimidae. Various species within this genus are referred to as lung flukes. Eating undercooked meat from infected terrestrial animal hosts, like wild boar, is a common way to transmit this infection.
