BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the avian leukosis virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose avian leukosis virus infection in chicken. The clone N08Y15 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y16 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information

Avian leukosis virus is a member of the Retroviridae family and is classified within the Alpharetrovirus genus, which primarily affects poultry, including chickens. ALV can cause a range of diseases, including lymphoid leukosis, myeloid leukosis, and erythroblastosis.
