Target Information
Porcine parvovirus (PPV) is a small, non-enveloped virus that primarily infects swine. It belongs to the Parvoviridae family, Parvovirus genus. PPV is known to cause reproductive issues in pigs, particularly in pregnant sows. The virus can lead to conditions such as stillbirths, mummified fetuses, and infertility, posing economic challenges to the swine industry.
