Target Information

Bovine ARFGAP1 (ADP-ribosylation factor GTPase activating protein 1) is a key regulator of membrane trafficking and vesicle transport. It functions as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ARF1, promoting the hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP. This activity is essential for the dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles, facilitating vesicle fusion with target compartments. ARFGAP1 also interacts with KDELR proteins and TMED2, regulating ARF1-mediated transport.
