Target Information

Canine tubulin beta 6 (cTUBB6) is a member of the tubulin protein family in dogs, which plays a vital role in the formation and maintenance of microtubules, essential components of the cell's cytoskeleton. Microtubules are dynamic structures that are involved in various cellular functions, including cell division, intracellular transport, and the establishment and maintenance of cell shape. cTUBB6, as a member of the beta-tubulin class, contributes to the structural integrity of microtubules and may have specific roles in certain cell types or under particular conditions. For instance, it has been implicated in the formation of cilia and flagella, which are hair-like projections from the cell surface that are essential for cell movement and sensory reception.
