Target Information

Chicken CD45, also known as leukocyte common antigen, is a protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed on the surface of various cells in the avian immune system, including T and B lymphocytes. It plays a pivotal role in the regulation of immune cell activation, development, and function by modulating signaling pathways. As a critical component of the immune response in chickens, CD45 is involved in diverse cellular processes such as cell division, cell growth, and the maintenance of immune homeostasis. It is particularly important for the proper functioning of the adaptive immune system, where it contributes to the activation of T cells and B cells by dephosphorylating inhibitory tyrosine residues on signaling molecules.
