Target Information
Equine arteritis virus (EAV) stands as a single-stranded RNA virus, classifying it among the Arteriviridae family. The virus can trigger Equine Viral Arteritis (EVA), a disease spectrum ranging from subclinical infections to severe respiratory illness and vasculitis. However, one of its most intriguing aspects is its ability to incite reproductive challenges, causing abortion, stillbirths, and even the birth of weak foals.
