Target Information
Mycobacterium tuberculosis CFP10, also known as Culture Filtrate Protein 10, is a component of the ESX-5 protein secretion system and is secreted by M. tuberculosis during infection. It plays a significant role in the bacterium's pathogenesis and immune evasion. CFP10 is a secreted protein that is thought to be involved in the bacterium's survival within the host, particularly within the phagosome of macrophages, by interfering with the host's immune response.
