Target Information

Campylobacter fetus is a rod-shaped, Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the genus Campylobacter within the phylum Pseudomonadota. Subspecies of C. fetus are known to cause reproductive diseases in ruminants. Infections with C. fetus subspecies venerealis often lead to infertility in cattle, while C. fetus subspecies fetus is commonly associated with abortion in sheep.
