Target Information

Equine IgGb is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) in horses, playing a significant role in the immune response. IgGb is one of the four major IgG subclasses in horses, which collectively represent the principal immunoglobulins found in plasma, accounting for up to 80% of the total immunoglobulin concentration. IgGb, along with other IgG subclasses, is involved in various immune functions such as opsonization, neutralization, and complement fixation. Specifically, IgGb is effective in fixing complement and participating in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), which are crucial for pathogen clearance and immune defense.
