Target Information

Coronaviruses (CoVs) comprise a group of enveloped, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA viruses that hold significant importance for humans and livestock alike. Porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCV), a mutant variant of the transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), was initially identified in Belgium in 1984. Unlike the enteric focus of TGEV, PRCV primarily replicates and causes mild damage in the respiratory tract.
