Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (VEEV) is an Alphavirus in the Togaviridae family of positive-strand RNA viruses. This virus is prevalent across Central and South America and is known to cause periodic epidemic and epizootic outbreaks leading to febrile and encephalitic diseases in both equines and humans. Infected horses may exhibit symptoms such as impaired vision, aimless wandering, head pressing, circling, difficulty swallowing, irregular gait, weakness, paralysis, convulsions, and potentially death.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
