Target Information
Avian influenza viruses are influenza A viruses, which are most commonly found in birds, but some types can also infect mammals such as pigs, horses, seals and whales, as well as humans. Influenza A viruses are named after the hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N) on the surface of the virus, of which there are 16 subtypes of H and 9 subtypes of N. The most frequently identified subtypes of avian influenza A viruses that have caused human infections are H5, H7 and H9 viruses.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
