Target Information

Chlamydia avium is a species of bacteria within the Chlamydiaceae family that can infect birds. In birds, Chlamydia avium infections can lead to a condition known as avian chlamydiosis. Clinical signs may include respiratory symptoms, conjunctivitis, and systemic illness. Severe cases can result in reduced egg production, infertility, and mortality.
