Target Information

Mycoplasma haemocanis leads to acute hemolysis in dogs that have been splenectomized, whereas in healthy dogs, infections are generally asymptomatic. It can appear in carrier dogs after they've undergone this procedure or in those previously splenectomized when they acquire the infection through a blood transfusion or a tick bite.
