Animal Antioxidant Metabolomics Analysis
BioVenic offers scientific researchers’ metabolomics solution for antioxidants in animal samples. Our customized services measure oxidative stress in animals by assessing and data analysis of these metabolites, which is powerful tool for scientific research projects to explore the relationship between oxidative stress and the metabolic state of cells, as well as the health and physiological status of individual animals.
Background
Oxidative stress levels in animals are closely linked to cellular metabolism as a cellular response. Cells produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) because of increased metabolism or stress responses. Glutathione (GSH) is an antioxidant used to mitigate damage caused by ROS. There is a clear correlation between the occurrence of certain diseases in animals and a decrease in antioxidant status, resulting in a significant reduction in economic returns. Oxidative stress is also associated with many pathological diseases that impair animal health, welfare, and production parameters.
